Lourdes graduated from the University of Zaragoza in Spain in 2010 and has a particular interest in exotic, wild and zoo animals, alongside surgery. Once qualified, she volunteered in a wildlife rescue centre in the Amazon Rainforest and in a well-renowned zoo in Peru, before conducting an externship at Jersey Zoo. She has been an exotic vet in Spain, Dubai and France before she moved to the UK in 2015, where she has worked in general practices but she has had the luck to continue seeing zoo animals too. She has a couple of publications and she is currently working on a book collaboration. She has a Postgraduate certificate in Exotic animals. She has a rescue, one-eyed cat from Dubai and fish of all kinds.
