The amphibians are a large group of animals containing more than 4000 living species. Frogs and toads are the most commonly presented amphibians. However, different species of newts and salamanders have become much more popular in the last decade. Amphibians have many unique aspects to their anatomy and physiology which require modifications of diagnostic and treatment methodologies used in other groups of animals.
